LINCOLN — Glitches with the online state writing test are causing fallout for the company that administered it.
The Nebraska Department of Education has withheld a $177,000 payment from Data Recognition Corp. of Maple Grove, Minn., after computer problems earlier this year caused nearly 1,300 students to lose their online connection or their written essays.
