DES MOINES (AP) — Des Moines authorities say a 10-year-old boy shoved his 11-year-old accomplice through a store's glass door after they stole several items.

Police said the boys entered the Sears store at Merle Hay Mall on Saturday and filled a backpack with several items. As the boys headed for an exit, store security workers tried to stop them. Police said the 10-year-old panicked and shoved the 11-year-old into the door, which broke and injured one of the older boy's hands. The younger boy ran off.
