Seven applicants vying for vacant judgeship serving Hall, Buffalo Counties

KEARNEY, Neb. — Two Buffalo County attorneys and two county public defenders are among seven applicants for a county judge opening serving Buffalo and Hall Counties.

Applicants from Kearney are Buffalo County Attorney Shawn Eatherton, Chief Deputy County Attorney Melanie Young, deputy Buffalo County public defenders Tom Stewart and D. Brandon Brinegar, attorney John Rademacher, and Kearney County Attorney Melodie Turner Bellamy. Grand Island attorney Stacy Nonhof also applied.
