A push to get more students — especially busy eighth-graders — into the school library at Alice Buffett Magnet Middle School is paying off.
Compared with this point last year, 2,500 more circulation items, mainly books, have been checked out of the school library this year. It’s an encouraging sign that school libraries haven’t become obsolete in an age of iPads and e-books.
