Sarpy County's new lake and recreation area near Werner Park will be named the Prairie Queen Recreation Area.
The Papillion City Council last week selected a name to honor a school that sat on the site near 126th Street and Cornhusker Road outside of Papillion. The school was there from 1884 to 1957 until the building was later repurposed as the Papillion Grange Hall.
