Red Basket's stories tug at heartstrings and purse strings.
Nate Bird is a paraplegic due to a motorcycle accident last year. He now lives on his own in a wheelchair-accessible apartment, but the 22-year-old Omahan wants the independence of a vehicle modified to fit his driving needs. He is seeking the public's help through redbasket.org, a person-to-person giving site.
