This weekend in the Omaha metro, Mother Nature is likely to rain on your holiday parade.

Expect rain showers today, Sunday and Monday, with an increasing probability of severe weather on Memorial Day, according to Andy Mussoline, meteorologist with AccuWeather, The World-Herald's weather consultant. Since midnight, close to four tenths of an inch of rain has fallen in the metro area, Mussoline said. Despite a chance for storms late this afternoon and evening, he said, expect some sunshine early this afternoon.
