Below-normal temperatures and rain in mid-August? We'll take it.
Rain that began overnight in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa was expected to taper off later Thursday morning, said Dave Pearson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Valley, Neb. But showers could redevelop later in the day after a break around noon.
