Pilot survives ultralight plane crash in Waterloo, Iowa
Waterloo police and Waterloo Fire/Rescue responded to the crash of a small aircraft Monday.

WATERLOO, Iowa — An ultralight plane has crashed near a John Deere facility in Waterloo, and the pilot has survived with non-life threatening injuries.
Waterloo Police Capt. Tim Pillack said the plane crashed shortly before 2 p.m. Monday into an open area near the John Deere Engine Works facility. The pilot was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
