» Preregister teens to vote. Lincoln Sen. Amanda McGill introduced LB 127 to allow 16- and 17-year-olds to preregister to vote. Qualified teens who preregister — typically at the same time they obtain driver’s licenses — would not be allowed to vote in an election until after they turn 18.
