Omaha area's weather ride may be a cold one

Batten down the hatches, Omaha-area residents, because the weather ride could be a rough one until late in the week.

High temperatures for eastern Nebraska and western Iowa are not expected climb out of the 20s until Friday, said Rick Chermok, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Valley, Neb. And the overnight low temps are likely fall to below zero by Wednesday morning.
