Omaha area's first babies of 2013 belong to 2 pairs of Bellevue parents

Two Bellevue couples — unrelated except that they both were expecting babies — spent New Year's Eve bringing into the world what are thought to be the Omaha metro area's first new boy and new girl of 2013.

Kayla and Ross Ray, ages 24 and 26, said they drove the few blocks to the Bellevue Medical Center shortly after her water broke about 10:30 p.m. on Monday .
