Omaha area gets around 1 inch of rain; 7 inches of snow near Gordon

A daylong soaking Tuesday left around an inch of rain in the Omaha metropolitan area while snow fell outside the region.

The National Weather Service's Bryon Miller said anywhere from .75 inches to 1 1/4 inches of rain fell in the Omaha area Tuesday through Tuesday night. He said 1 inch of rain was recorded at Omaha's Eppley Airfield and 1.27 inches fell at the weather service's office in Valley, Neb.
