New police gang intervention specialist knows firsthand about getting involved with wrong crowd

South Omaha's new gang intervention specialist knows how to relate to youths entangled with gangs because at one time he, too, got involved with the wrong crowd.
Alberto Gonzales, 56, started working for the Omaha Police Department this week after many years of counseling youths at the Boys and Girls Club in South Omaha.
