New OPS superintendent to be paid $265,000 a year

The next superintendent of the Omaha Public Schools will be paid a base salary of $265,000 annually in a three-year contract approved Wednesday by the school board.
Mark Evans, who will start July 1, also will receive a $12,000 annual transportation allowance and up to $15,000 in moving expenses.
