Nebraskans and Iowans dropped off thousands of pounds of unwanted or expired prescription drugs at the Nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday.
In Nebraska, 9,561 pounds of prescription drugs were dropped off, said Scott Collier, a spokesman for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Iowa collected 8,840 pounds.
