LINCOLN — State Treasurer Don Stenberg said Thursday that he’s reconsidering a run for governor in 2014, given the recent resignation of the front-runner, Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy.

Stenberg, who ran unsuccessfully in the GOP primary for U.S. Senate last year, had previously stated that he planned to run for re-election for state treasurer and had no interest in the Governor’s Mansion.
