LINCOLN — Three Nebraska state senators have signed onto a letter urging federal officials to reject the Keystone XL pipeline.
On Friday, the final day of public comment on the proposed crude oil pipeline, the senators asked the U.S. State Department to deny a permit allowing the pipeline to cross the U.S.-Canada border. The pipeline would carry 830,000 barrels of mostly heavy Canadian crude oil through Nebraska and onto the Gulf Coast.
