LINCOLN — In his last year in office, a state senator wants to make one more attempt at legalizing casino gambling in Nebraska.
Sen. Russ Karpisek of Wilber, a longtime advocate for expanded gambling, introduced a proposed constitutional amendment Tuesday that would permit casinos in the state if legislators and Nebraska voters approve. Before a casino could be opened in a city or county, voters there would also have to approve the idea.
