The flood surge on the Platte River is likely to reach eastern Nebraska by the middle of next week, said Dave Pearson, hydrologist for the National Weather Service in Valley.
Pearson said it's hard to pinpoint a day that the surge will reach this area because it's slowing and dissipating as it moves across the state.
