This is the month when the skies above central Nebraska fill with purposeful life as one of the planet's remaining great migratory spectacles unfolds.
Hundreds of thousands of sandhill cranes, snow geese, Canada geese and a multitude of ducks criss-cross the sky for daily destinations known only to them.
