Snow covered more of the Northern Hemisphere last month than any previous December on record, according to a report released Thursday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Much of that was driven by widespread snow in Eurasia, where the month brought the second-largest snow cover on record, according to NOAA climatologist Jake Crouch.
