Ice along the Platte and Elkhorn Rivers has broken up, and the rivers are flowing freely, so the threat of ice-jam flooding has passed for this year, according to Rich Tesar, a member of the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District.
“It's entirely gone,” Tesar said Friday evening.
