Soil temperatures have climbed steadily in recent days and are nearing the range suitable for germination of “tender” cool-season vegetables such as carrots and beets.
With spring behind schedule, warm weather in the forecast and rain expected this weekend, now is a good time to get cool-season vegetables in the ground.
