Mother of slain teen says, 'We didn't see this coming'

A 17-year-old Northwest High School student who police said was killed by his friend over the weekend moved to Omaha two years ago to care for his grandmother, his mother said.

Dominique Hollie was shot and killed Friday in his grandmother's house at 3914 N. 54th St. by 17-year-old classmate Christopher D. Spears, police said. Spears was charged Monday with second-degree murder.
