The Omaha City Council next week will begin considering a proposal from Mayor Jean Stothert to raise city residential sewer use fees a total of about 45 percent over the next four years.
The ordinance, set for first reading Tuesday and public hearing July 15, would set sewer rates for 2015 to 2018. The revenue from the increases is slated to repay bonds for Omaha’s $2 billion sewer overhaul.
