A 31-year-old man fatally shot himself when he was confronted early Friday by an Omaha police officer, a spokesman for the department said.
The officer suspected the man, Robert Willis, of firing shots near 33rd and Ernst Streets and was investigating the gunfire when Willis killed himself, said Officer James Shade, a police spokesman.
