Man accused of recruiting transients to help with $40,000 in check scams

A Georgia man who allegedly recruited homeless men in Lincoln to participate in several check fraud scams involving nearly $40,000 has been jailed.
Derrick Andrews, 22, of Decatur, Ga., is charged with second-degree forgery. He was arrested March 26 during a traffic stop.
