The Western Sarpy-Clear Creek project was included in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ work plan for the upcoming year, Omaha area officials learned this week.
The project, approved in 2000, will improve levees along a 20-mile stretch of Platte River that is prone to flooding caused by ice jams.
