LINCOLN — A bill to prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity could be headed back to committee after a senator decided he wants to change his vote of support.

A day after voting to advance the anti-discrimination bill to the floor of the Nebraska Legislature, Sen. Bob Krist of Omaha said Wednesday he wants more discussion to ensure the measure doesn’t harm employers because of their religious beliefs.
