LINCOLN — The Legislature's Judiciary Committee advanced a bill Thursday that would set a new minimum sentence for juveniles convicted of murder.
Legislative Bill 44, as amended by the committee, would provide for a possible sentence of 30 years to life in prison for first-degree murder.
