Voter ID plan by Nebraska Secretary of State Gale would apply to narrow group of citizens
Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale's voter ID plan got an immediate thumbs down from both the sponsor and opponents of a more comprehensive voter ID bill pending before the Nebraska Legislature.

LINCOLN — Secretary of State John Gale announced plans Thursday to seek another four years in office.
Gale, 72, has been secretary of state since 2000, when he was appointed by Gov. Mike Johanns to fill a vacancy. He won election in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
