Servers containing the Social Security numbers of nearly 30,000 past and current Iowa State University students have been hacked, the university said Tuesday.
Information technology staff said there's no evidence data files on the servers were accessed in the breach, which was done by someone using the computing power to buy digital currency, according to an ISU press release.
