Iowa ag secretary calls on farmers to reduce runoff

COUNCIL BLUFFS — Iowa's secretary of agriculture told a gathering of farmers Wednesday that they should try to limit phosphorus and nitrogen runoff from their lands.
Otherwise, state and federal bureaucrats may impose a solution, said Bill Northey, the state's ag secretary.
