WEST POINT, Neb. — The moving truck that pulled the 50-foot-high and 25-ton wooden building from a southwestern Cuming County farm had to squeeze through city streets to get the building to its new location at the Cuming County Fairgrounds.
The 1919 horse barn had been awakened from 60 years of retirement slumber. It was a center of farm activity until the mid-1940s. Then it stood like a tombstone.
