Hagel committee vote delayed after push from Senate Republicans

WASHINGTON - Chuck Hagel will have to wait for the Senate Armed Services Committee to vote on his nomination as defense secretary.
Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., the committee's chairman, had hoped to hold the vote on Thursday, but he issued a statement Wednesday afternoon that it was being put off beyond this week.
