Grand Island ATM thief leaves trail of debris
A Five Points Bank ATM is demolished Friday morning after Bryce Malesker, 41, used a skip loader to steal an ATM safe in front of the South Locust Veterinary Clinic in Grand Island. Malesker managed to acquire the safe, but lost it in an ensuing police chase, causing a large amount of property damage along the way. The roof of a classroom on the southeast corner of Stolley Park Elementary School was lifted off the corner walls after Malesker hit the building with the skip loader.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A 41-year-old man driving a stolen skid loader left a trail of debris in Grand Island Friday morning, smashing an ATM, lifting part of the roof off a school and damaging fences and yards.
The incident began with a report of a man on a skid loader smashing up a Five Points Bank ATM housed in a small brick building. Officers found the skid loader being driven with an ATM in the front bucket. The driver dumped the ATM during the pursuit.
