A silver-haired woman named Dorothy stood at the threshold of Room 5517 in the Creighton University Medical Center.
Behind her, all was busy and urgent and loud. Alerts bleated. Phones rang. People in scrubs and white coats checked clipboards and conversed and rushed off.
