Lending a hand: Members of the Greater Omaha Remodelers Association-National Association of the Remodeling Industry spent a recent Saturday repairing the home of Omaha retiree Beverly Boone so she can remain there as long as she's able. The NARI volunteers reset concrete steps and poured new concrete pads and pilasters for safer entries. Craig Pennell coordinated the project with NARI members who also repaired front and back porches, the living room ceiling and bathroom, and did other projects to make the home safer. NARI is a national sponsor for Rebuilding Together, and this is the first joint project of the Greater Omaha Remodelers Association and Rebuilding Together Omaha. More than a dozen volunteers worked on the project. The volunteers also fixed gutters and downspouts to drain away from the house, cleaned up the yard and did landscaping.
