An Offutt Air Force Base team discovered what are believed to be small pieces of bone in a house that burned down in Mills County, Iowa, giving investigators their most promising lead yet in the case of a missing Council Bluffs man.

The family of Travis Bach, 26, reported him missing Jan. 2. A Ford Escort that Bach had been driving was found at the scene of the New Year's Eve fire. His mother has said she feared that Bach died in the fire.
