Former State Sen. Bob Kremer, recalled as leader in ag, water policy, dies

Former State Sen. Bob Kremer of Aurora, Neb., who died on Tuesday, was remembered by Aurora Mayor Marlin Seeman as a man who always approached issues in a positive manner.

The 77-year-old Kremer, who represented District 34 in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 through 2007, was recognized as a leader in agriculture and water issues, as well as a promoter of the ethanol industry. He served as chairman of the Legislature's Agriculture Committee from 2002 through 2006.
