Finally. Spring expected to return. No, really: Warmer-than-average weather in forecast
The weight of the snow Sunday bent these daffodils to the ground. Tuesday's hard freeze probably brought a quick end to some spring color, but it should not have affected most plants that produce color later in the season, at least in Omaha, experts say.

With any luck, this week's record cold and hard freeze will be the last time temperatures drop that low this spring.
A light freeze was possible in Omaha Wednesday night and maybe Thursday night, but after that, the odds favor warmer than average weather through the end of the month.
