LINCOLN — Cowboys burst into frontier Nebraska like herds of stampeding longhorns.
They were tough, rowdy and unstoppable. Before their cattle-driving, range-riding days were over, they were the stuff of myth and legend. Icons of America. And mostly anonymous.
