Ex-Kearney man gets 90 days in jail, probation for trying to burn himself, home

KEARNEY, Neb. — A former Kearney man says he's trying to start his life over after dousing himself and his home with gasoline.

Brad Gladwell, 45, was sentenced Monday in Buffalo County District Court to four years' probation for felony attempted first-degree arson in the Jan. 15 incident. Under his probation, he must serve 90 days in jail and complete outpatient counseling and financial management classes.
