GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A former Hall County sheriff's deputy fired for accepting his county salary when he failed to attend weekend military training has entered a plea agreement.
Kevin Bombeck, 35, of Wood River pleaded no contest to misdemeanor attempted theft by deception, reduced from a felony, for incidents that occurred between March 9 and Oct. 1, 2012.
