Engineering student harnesses girl power, starts engineering-science club at Gomez Elementary

The third- and fourth-grade members of the Girl Power! club at Gomez Heritage Elementary School are bent over poster-size sheets of paper, thinking hard.
Club leader Shay Valentine has tasked them with identifying a cause of pollution, its ill effects on people and the environment and a solution that could curb that source of pollution.
