Douglas-Sarpy 911 merger could save taxpayers $20 million

Sarpy County faces shortcomings with its current 911 dispatching and management and could save taxpayers as much as $20million in the coming years by consolidating services with Douglas County, according to a report being prepared.
The draft report, obtained by The World-Herald, recommends pursuing a merger to some degree.
