Diversity takes center stage at Heritage Festival
Members of Xiotal Ballet Folklorico perform at the Heritage Festival on Saturday. Since 2011, the free event has been celebrating and integrating Omaha's many cultures. Saturday began with a parade from 10th and Pacific Streets to Lewis & Clark Landing. Later, groups performed songs and dances and offered food, exhibits and crafts.

Omaha's diversity was on display Saturday with about 35 cultures represented at the Heritage Festival.
The annual festival started off with a parade from 10th and Pacific Streets to Lewis & Clark Landing. Participants wearing traditional clothing walked beside floats representing their cultures.
