LINCOLN — A Delaware fugitive made his first court appearance Thursday in Nebraska, where he faces a motor vehicle homicide charge in the death of a 2-year-old Omaha boy.
Leamond Pierce, 53, arrived at the Lancaster County jail late Wednesday, 10 days after he was arrested in O’Fallon, Ill. The paroled killer from Delaware eluded authorities for nearly three months after he was charged with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide for a crash that occurred Dec. 3, 2011, near Lincoln.
