Severe weather risks in the Omaha metro today and Sunday will give way to "hot, humid and breezy" conditions for next week's CWS championship series, the National Weather Service forecasts.
Scott Dergan, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's office in Valley, Neb., said there's about a 50 percent chance for thunderstorms late Saturday morning. High temperatures are projected in the low 90s, he said, with decreasing clouds and increasing south winds in the afternoon.
